Yesterday was my oldest grandchild's birthday, Karsyn. She turned 4 yesterday & she is the oldest of our seven grandchildren. I wanted to start making cards for those special people in my life. This is my second attempt at making a card. I think it turned out pretty good. I don't have a lot of materials to work with, only a few papers, ribbons, and embellishments & I am determined not to go hog-wild buying things. My son and his wife loved it...something she can save and hopefully enjoy for years to come. My next grandchild's birthday is in August, Olivia....I'll have to come up with something special for her!

Hi Bobbie! Thanks so much for visiting my blog - I've added you to my blog list so i can keep up with your posts (or try to anyway)! Yes, I went to the RH - was there on Friday in fact about 1140 - 1230 or so. Love your card - it's really cute and you're right, it's easy to get carried away with buying the stuff.
What a wonderful idea for adding just the right touch to a birthday. I'm sure this will be a treasured keepsake!

Hi - I just came across your blog and am always to happy to see someone else from Michigan posting. Especially when I see that they went to the Rocking Horse (just about the only LNS around anymore). At first I wasn't sure you were from Michigan, but then saw the Rocking Horse mentioned and the WINGS. Such a bummer about them, but maybe next year. They did provide some quality stitching time while they were playing though. I'm definitely going to have to follow your blog. Love your card that you made for your granddaughter.
