LAST LOOK....

Yesterday, I spend the entire day "undecorating"..I don't know which is more work...putting up or taking down. One thing I know for sure...it sure is sad having to haul out the tree. We get so excited finding the perfect tree at the tree farm, I squeal like a little kid the whole time my husband puts it in the tree stand..trying to get it straight from all angles. Then, before you know it...it time to take it down. Every year I try to reorganize all my Christmas stuff..labeling the bins, putting them in the order that I think will take them out next year (HA HA!) and it seems no matter what I get rid of..I always seem to have more at the end of the season.

My poor laptop crashed a few weeks ago and I lost all of my pictures...plus, I can't seem to get rid of this template from Blogger. Everytime I try to load up a new background..the whole blog gets messed up. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it! I would really like a different background....

Bobbie, I just found your blog and want to tell you how pretty it is! I can't help you, either, with the template issue; every time I try to do anything different Blogger makes it NEW AND IMPROVED and I am lost. As far as organizing holiday things, I don't think it is possible. LOL I have tried several "systems" and this year, even tho I didn't want all of it out, I couldn't even find some of my favorites, even tho I had them all written down and numbered...I just put stuff up earlier so I can enjoy it longer. I invite you to visit my blog, http://theoldefarmhouse.blogspot.com and would love to have you as a follower. Hugs, Joy

The magic of the Christmas season stays in our hearts, even when the decorations return to storage. Packing it all away, particularly the tree ornaments, always seems like work, but taking it out isn't! I have so enjoyed all the photos of your ornaments, and the stories behind them. Best wishes for you and yours in the year ahead.

It's always a little sad taking the tree down. Are you using BLogger backgrounds or your own? It looks like you are using the 'simple' template - make sure it is selected and then you should be able to select 'backgrounds' and find another one from Blogger. Or you can load your own background from Cutest Blog on the Block or others - they all have instructions on how to do it. I sympathize - everytime Blogger changes things I have to learn and get aggravated all over again LOL.

Bobbie ~
It always depresses me to un-decorate. I am just happy it comes down much more quickly than it goes up. I have all the trees done except for the big one. That will take me a LONG time. Plus lots of swags, etc. Geez, maybe if I'd "simplify" it wouldn't be so much work...lol! I can't believe another Christmas season is over.
Happy stitching and hooking to you in 2011. I always enjoy your blog so keep on postin'!
Pug hugs :)

It's always so sad taking down the tree. I love how you organize everything. I try and think about the fresh New Year ahead but it's still sad. Wish I could help you with blogger...I've been wanting to make some changes also but since they changed it I haven't had a chance to figure it out.

Wishing you love and happiness this new year :)
Sending warm hugs ~ Jenn
