A TOWNSEND...IT'S A BEAUTIFUL THING!

I know, I know it's been like forever since I last posted...almost three weeks to be exact! I have had a rough couple of weeks...busy at work, busy at home, yard work, inside work, then to top it off, I experienced a horrible case of "viral gastroenteritis" last week..in other words...I ate something that was contaminated by someone not washing their hands properly or at all or the food, itself, was contaminated. Either way...it cost me a trip to the emergency room last Tuesday morning and then three days of misery! Yuck...I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy! All this while my new Townsend sat in my hooking room....UNTOUCHED! I finally was able to use it this past weekend and what a joy it was! I think my hooking even looks better...my strips are even, no fraying, and it cuts like butter!! I purchased it from Ault's Rug Hooking Store while they were up here at the hook-in in Saline. Larry gave me a trade in allowance for my Fraser so the decision was easy..especially since all my hooking friends think this machine is the best invention since sliced bread!

So glad your feeling better...I know your pain. I'm happy for you regarding your new cutter. Cutting is such a drag any how, why not make it as enjoyable as possible. Enjoy!

I'm so glad to hear that you're feeling better Bobbie. It sounds horrible! I'm drooling all over the screen with your new cutter. It's on my hit list to purchase. I've heard really great things about them. Guess I'll have to fill up the change basket a couple times. Hope you enjoy it and cut lots and lots of strips!!

So sorry to hear about you being sick. Not fun at all. I had e Coli once and I can understand how it can kill the young or elderly!
OH!!! A Townsend is even better than sliced bread. I got mine just last year at Sauder and it is such a pleasure to cut wool. I'm happy you got one!

It is so fun to cut with it, as fun as the hooking, lol.
I do not eat out and glad I don't. My husband has even walked out of the coffee shop on occasion, right after the girl coughed all over the cups;)

Lucky you with your new cutter! I borrowed on from a gal at our monthly meeting because I forgot to bring my Bliss, and it seemed that the Townsend #8's were wider than mine - have you noticed any difference at all?
