1ST GOAL OF THE YEAR....

I am starting a new rug...a pattern by one of my favorite designers, Maggie Bonanomi. It's a rather large rug, measuring 20" by 40". I have never hooked one quite this big, but I thought it would be perfect for my kitchen wall. I only have one wall in my kitchen, the other ones have cupboards, and it's always a decorating dilema for me. In the picture above, are the wools chosen to use. Thankfully, I already had the colors in my ever growing wool stash. I am setting a goal to have this one done by the end of month...hmm...we'll see, but I am starting it this afternoon and am going to hook like a maniac!!

That is a tall order, depends on how much you hook.
That is a wonderful rug and would look great in the kitchen. Just enjoy the process, I find when I set a deadline, I do not enjoy the hooking and end up taking longer;)

I can't wait to see you start on this! I have an overwhelming urge to learn how to hook and I think that Maggie's patterns are wonderful. I found a teacher somewhat near me, so this year's goal is to learn! All that wool looks wonderful too!

I was just looking at this same rug on another website as a possible purchase to hook. I didn't make any crafting goals for 2010, but maybe I should have. I have a bazillion things that I should get finished or started and sometimes I feel somewhat unmotivated. The weather here hasn't helped much with the motivation part. But I've decided I'm going to make a list and try to set some goals. Thanks for inspiring me!!
