It was just brought to my attention, that an interview my daughter, Renee, did at the Cleveland Clinic was on YouTube. She was filmed last winter during one of her post transplant visits. Renee had a pancreas transplant on July 10, 2008...here is her story..

Yes, thank you so much for posting this. I have a son with ype 1. He's had it for 10 years. He does really well but needs a new pump.
As a mom you know what this is like to watch your child struggle with this, even doing well, it's a hard row to hoe or them. The ups and downs in blood sugar.
I have always heard this is a very hard surgery and that the anti rejection drugs are expensive and hard to take as well.
Your daughter did do a great job with her interview. Makes me intrested to know more. I'm going to the link you posted. Again, thanks so much!
