A NEW BED

PhotobucketYesterday, I went to an awesome antique sale in Plymouth MI. My friend, Pat, always has the best primitives. It's about the only place you can pick up prims at a decent price. Well, I purchased this bed from her for only $25 dollars. I think it is probably from the 30' or 40's, but it is that heavy metal, painted brown, and then has the sweetest bouquet of flowers painted on the headboard and footboard. The comforter shows up to be quite bright, but it really isn't. It is a nice contrast to the dark brown of the bed. This is my "guest room", something I never thought I would be able to have, especially with raising 5 children...just never seemed possible.

Thank you for your kind comments! Terri...It's not a store, it's at a house. She has a antique/barn sale in July during Plymouth's Art in the Park and then again the second weekend in September. She is right in the downtown area. I'll let you know next summer and send you her address. It is an awesome sale...so many primitives and shabby chic! The best in these parts!

I love the bed! What a great price!! Wow, I'd love info on the sale too for next year. Seems that there are a lot of those types of sales that go on around here - but if you're not in the know then you miss out. Would love info too please!!
